Let me just say that it’s never the niche you choose that generates the money it’s the way you choose to promote to that niche.  Knowing the people in the niche, their wants, the questions they are likely to ask and being able to answer those question in their own unique language is how you generate income online.

So let’s take a step back and find out what is a niche market.

A niche market is just a specialized segment  or subset of a larger market.  Take a quick look at any  market  and after a little research you will have no difficulty uncovering many niches.  A niche is simply a subset of  that larger market  The easiest way to understand what is a niche market to look at an example.

Let’s take the wedding industry.  Now this is a massive online market, but if you decided to try and promote  simply to the wedding industry chances are your efforts would fall on deaf ears. Established online marketers will have that market sown up so you may think that you could not get a foot hold in this lucrative market but think again. You need to uncover a niche in that market, a subset in that market that is not being targeted by the big boys.

So lets discover some niches in the wedding industry.  The wedding industry consists of Brides and Grooms and for this example lets have a look at the Grooms.  Grooms are a niche market of the wedding industry ( can you see what we are doing) but we can go even further and discover some even better niches in the wedding industry. Lets dig a little deeper and think about the Grooms. What would they be interested in ,what are there duties that they would be expected to perform at their wedding?

Suit hire, car hire, speech writing, the wedding rings, the honeymoon. As you can see just by doing a little bit of brain storming we have come up with a number of different niches.
